The Sidney Public Library is pleased to offer a free monthly program series. The programs are offered on the second Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to noon. There is no charge, and all programs are open to anyone who is interested in attending. We do ask, however, that you call to reserve a place, as space is limited. The schedule is below, and beginners are welcome!

January 9th : Financial Aid for Students

Treve Florom, Education Quest representative, will be here to answer questions for parents/students about financial aid for those who are interested in furthering their education. You may reach Education Quest @ 1-800-666-3721.

 

January 20th : Digital Cameras @ 6-7:30 pm

Colleen Wecker will be here to help us learn more about taking pictures with digital cameras.

 

February 13th : Mini Watercolor Workshop @ 10 am-Noon

Local artist and member of the Cheyenne County Art Guild, Judy McElroy, will show a number of watercolor techniques and you will paint a piece of artwork to take home.

 

March 13th : Imagine That @ 10 am-Noon

Imagine That is coming to the Library to help us make a “Spring Craft”.

 

April 10th : Ricky and Lucy’s Country Greenhouse @ 10 am-Noon

During this program you will learn about container gardening.

 

Wednesday May 5th : Digital Camera Workshop @ 6-7:30 pm

Colleen Wecker will be at the Library to conduct the workshop. Bring your camera and questions…… and let Colleen help you learn all there is to know about taking wonderful pictures!

 

May 8th : Stampin’ Up @ 10 am—Noon

Come join the fun at the Library as Kelly Rose shares her knowledge and ideas about scrapbooking/stamping.

 

June 19th : Prairie Glass Bead Jewelry @ 10 am—Noon

Come learn about glass lampworking with our host Stacie Hermes.
